Those little gestures

Those little gestures

Too much has happened as usual. Fights, semi-make-ups and oh...Was dragged to watch that abysmal attempt at a movie Snore...uh, Sex and the City. Almost slit my wrists multiple times throughout the whole horrendous (horrendously long and just plain horrendous) affair. It was wrong on so many different levels, I think it might have to go into the record books as the world's tallest man-made abomination. Seriously. Sometimes I wonder how a fashion-illiterate, heel-loathing, list-making prude like me could have friends who know what color is "in" this season and watch Gossip Girl. Do opposites really attract? Weird. Anyhow, in a nutshell, I couldn't stand it. The one minor, minuscule thing I liked was towards the very end (and yes, part of the reason I liked it was coz it was towards the very end) when one of the characters - what's her name? the redheaded chick? - hands her husband the cherry that comes with a grapefruit she's ordered. He smiles at her - and there's a world of meaning behind it. I like those little gestures that are so much more than they seem. I'm a sucker for them. Fiction, you know.

Final thought: Fiction is just that.

Good to hear from you. It has been a while. I have not seen that movie yet, so I cannot comment (nor do I expect to see it for that matter).

Hope to start hearing from you more often again. Look forward to some lists this summer. Take care, OS.
