Fight or flight?

I haven't blogged in awhile because I haven't really felt like hashing out my feelings. They've been a virtual maelstrom. To try and put them into words would have been...chaotic, really. Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't be better just to chuck everything and run off into the proverbial sunset. Of course I can't do that. I have duties and obligations and I take them all very seriously. Probably too seriously as I've been told on several occasions, but I've said it once and I'll say it again - there are people in this world who live to mess it up and then there are the people who clean it up. I'd be the latter. It gets tiring sometimes, but I ask myself, if I don't do it, who will? Few people, I've noticed, are ready to step up to the plate. They talk a good game, but one whiff of trouble and they run away as fast as their cowardly little legs can take them. It's true that there are some situations I run from - I'm not really good at breaking up with people, for one. But for other situations, I'm there. I face it head on. You get beaten down a lot that way but I try to think - well, just a few more battle scars. Even I get a bit weary though. I wonder sometimes what the heck it's all leading up to. If the answer were nothing, would I fight this hard?

Good to hear from you. Have been missing your posts. You need to look at the long term benefits to how you do things and not the short term. In the long term doing things the right way will pay off. At least that is what I have always believed.
